Choose the answering mode
Decide whether Havio answers after hours, when staff are busy, when a call is missed, or as the first-line receptionist for a specific number.
Confirm carrier support
Your carrier or phone system must support forwarding rules. Common setups include unconditional forwarding, no-answer forwarding, busy forwarding, and scheduled forwarding.
Test with real call paths
Before launch, test office-hours calls, after-hours calls, missed calls, urgent calls, transfers, and voicemail fallback from the same devices customers use.
Document fallback ownership
If a transfer fails or the caller asks for a person, define which staff member, team, or backup number receives the handoff.
